Belly Up to the Barre - Forest Ave Anniversary!! July 29, 2017

Start your Saturday night off right with barre and beverages. Join us for 45 minutes of barre express, followed by wine, beer & seltzer happy hour, and community building! All class passes accepted and beverages are complimentary. July's Belly Up to the Barre will double as our first anniversary at our new (Forest Avenue) location! Kundalini Yoga - 4 week August series

Each class includes all elements of the ancient teachings of yoga: Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques), Mantra (sound), Mudra (hand positions), and Meditation. These aspects are combined into series of exercises called Kriyas. Some Kriyas are dynamic and energetic, others are slow and meditative.

Kundalini Yoga - 8 week Fall series


Kundalini Yoga develops flexibility, tones muscles and strengthens the nervous, glandular, and immune systems. It increases mental energy and gives you a deep inner calm, strength, and grace. This ancient system draws upon a vast body of teachings brought to the U.S. by Yogi Bhajan. Each class includes all elements of the ancient teachings of yoga: Asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques), Mantra (sound), Mudra (hand positions), and Meditation. Raising Your Vibration: Release the Fear and Embrace the Flow
In this workshop, led by Ben Carroll of InnerSelfSustained and Rachel Horton White of Soulful Work Intuitive Consulting, we will guide you through a sound experience with crystal singing bowls, voice and other mind calming instruments to elevate your energetic body and allow yourself to process and release the stuck energy held there.

If you've never had sound journeying/healing before, you are in for a transformational, other-worldly experience of sound that seeps into your bones, permeating every cell with love. Sound is a very powerful medium that helps to get down past your conscious mind which can allow greater access to our own intuition and access to higher dimensions of our own self, our higher self, where much healing and releasing can occur.

This workshop will include a guided meditation aimed to separate from your fears, while visualizing (and co-creating) your future! You will write and process what you see in your "future self vision": your future potential.

Visualizing, writing and meditating are three of the most effective ways to transform your experience! And, you'll receive written handouts and tools on how to "raise your vibration" in your life, allowing you to expand into your true self, by identifying, processing and releasing any "hidden stories" you're carrying in your life from your past.

KIDS & FAMILIES


The Wren's Nest-Children's Yoga Series. 

For our littlest yogis and their caregivers! Your toddler will remain engaged and curious to see what will happen next. Bringing in breath work, meditation, and body movement through dance, games, stories and yoga postures. Planting for the future, children leave with seeds of love, kindness and compassion.

Four week series every Thursday beginning June 15th for children ages 2.5-5yo.

Prenatal Yoga.  NEXT SESSION BEGINS JULY 12th!!

Each class begins with a round table where we take time for discussion and friendship. This is an opportunity for each mother-to-be to talk about how they are feeling and ask any questions. There is a special camaraderie and closeness that comes during this time and most find the support to be invaluable. The discussion is followed by meditation to quiet the mind and bring focus to the body and the growing baby. Then we move in to breath-work, stretching, strength building, and balancing postures that help to prepare the body and mind for the process of giving birth. Each class is a unique experience tailored to all stages of pregnancy. We finish each yoga practice with an opportunity for deep rest and relaxation.Class runs in a 4 weeks series ($50) beginning July 12th. Drop ins ($15) are welcome after we have met our minimum enrollment. Enrollment will be capped at 8 students to allow ample time and space for each mama-to-be.

Our Prenatal series is taught by Jaclyn Gallo. Jaclyn is a 200hr RYT and has completed an additional 40+ hours of prenatal specific yoga study. She has also completed trainings and had the privilege of serving families as a doula and lactation educator.

Barre & Babies 

Each session begins with introductions and an opportunity to interact with other new moms. Share stories, ask questions, find support and connect. Class will follow with barre yoga fusion focused on pelvic floor rehab, core strengthening, and stretching and strengthening the postural muscles affected by breast or bottle feeding and carrying and snuggling your new bundle. This gentle re-introduction (or introduction) to barre will allow you to find time to connect with yourself, your baby, and your community. Feeding, changing, crying, giggling and sleeping babies all welcome. Baby wearing during portions of class is also an option. Instructor and fellow mom, Jess Little, will provide an extra set of hands allowing you to take time for you. Class runs in a 4 weeks series ($50). NEXT SERIES RUNS 6/22-7/20 (no class 7/13). Drop ins ($15) are welcome after we have met our minimum enrollment. Enrollment will be capped at 8 students to allow ample time and space for each mama and baby.

Outdoor Stroller Barre 

Get out, get your barre on, and bring your kiddos for a stroll! Join Magnolia Co-Owner, Barre Instructor, and fellow mama, Jess Little for this 4 week series beginning Thursday June 15th. Class meets at 9:00 at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth. All ages in stroller are welcome and there is no expectation that kiddos will sit still throughout your workout- we encourage playing, climbing, running and moving their bodies too! Just bring your stroller, mat and water, all other equipment will be provided.
