Magnolia Barre

Kim Fischer

Kim first started taking Rasamaya Barre and Yoga classes when the studio first opened in 2012. Since then she has immersed herself in all things barre and yoga, and is so excited to be teaching barre classes to this wonderful community!

Through a regular barre and yoga practice, Kim has learned to love her body for its strength, flexibility and power and she hopes to bring the same light to her students, no matter where they are in their practice.

In her other life, she works at Unum, just completed her MBA and loves spending time with her friends and staying active!

Jordan Rowe

Jordan began taking barre classes at Magnolia in 2013, and has been hooked ever since. Being born and raised in the Portland area, Jordan was always looking for a fun, rewarding workout that didn't involve a typical gym environment. Following 4 years of practicing barre, Jordan wanted to take her practice to the next level by completing Level 1 Magnolia Barre Teacher Training. Magnolia helped Jordan fall in love with barre and yoga, and she is so excited to be able to share that love with the community.

Jordan is a graduate of the University of Maine, and when she isn't at Magnolia, she is a communications consultant and obsessed cat mom. She lives in Portland, Maine and loves exploring everything the city and the area has to offer.

Anne Davis

Anne is excited to bring movement into the lives of others. With an athletic background, Anne has always loved to push herself and others further than we think we can go. “You are stronger than you think you are” is a mantra that resonates.
 
Anne is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and a certified Rasamaya Barre instructor.

As a runner, movement lover, outdoor enthusiast, and mom of three, Anne feels fortunate to be a part of your lives at Magnolia. 

Jessica Little

Jessica Little MS, RD, CSCS
Jessica has been involved in wellness for the past 15 years as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and registered dietitian. From a young age, she has always needed to move! Whether it was playing outside with neighborhood friends as a kid, participating in multiple sports throughout high school and college, or training others through college and beyond. For years, Jessica resisted yoga given it was not the high intensity ‘workout’ she was accustomed to. However, after taking her first Vinyasa class in Cambridge, MA in 2004 she was immediately hooked and realized it was exactly what her body and mind needed and she has practiced regularly ever since!

 

Jessica holds certification as a Level 1 yoga teacher through YogaFit, is Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in human nutrition. She is pursuing her 200 hr RYT certification, looks forward to completing Rasamaya Barre training and is excited to bring SURFEST to Magnolia!

 

Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 year old son and 3 month old daughter. She looks to yoga and movement to help find calm and balance and she looks forward to helping others do the same by joining the amazing Magnolia community as co-owner.

Liz Pfeffer Gagnon

 Liz is a firm believer that movement matters, and the way we move shapes the way we live. As a movement educator Liz will teach you how to access your body's true potential. Liz is know for her precise, anatomically focused cues and guidance. Join her for a challenging, fun and motivational class. 
  

Liz is originally from just outside of Boulder, Colorado where she grew up, worked as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, and attended the University of Colorado. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Integrative Physiology and Italian. She trained in the Rasamaya Barre method and completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Rasamaya founder Carrie Tyler. She is also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer.

Sandy Betz

Sandy’s fitness journey began just a few years ago when she discovered Pilates and then barre classes. Within these methods she found her body and discovered its capacity for strength and grace.

Through barre and Pilates she saw and felt her body change, muscles developing, and flexibility increasing. She started to experience a level of fitness that translated into everyday activities.

Sandy’s classes are a place where everyone, from experienced athletes to absolute beginners; will experience challenge, support and most importantly lots of laughter.

She has extensive training in Barre and Pilates and is currently pursuing her NASM Personal Training certification. She is passionate about sharing her love of fitness and, in particular, the transformative properties of barre classes with clients of all ages and fitness levels.

Natalie Breton

Natalie's passion for health and wellness began at a young age. Natalie was a competitive gymnast for 13 years. She began her teaching journey 14 years ago as a gymnastics and tumbling instructor and recently received her certification to teach rasamaya barre.
Natalie also loves to spend time walking the local beaches, knitting, doing scenic paintings and ashtanga yoga.
Magnolia Barre is an athletic workout specifically designed to strengthen and lengthen the body. The class is fueled by upbeat music and efficiently flows through each muscle group, creating endurance and stamina through strength training and increased flexibility through stretching. The movements are influenced by classical ballet barre methods, Pilates, yoga, and orthopedic exercises. The class is taught in a group setting, but offers personalized attention through verbal and hands-on corrections.

Socks are required for class, they may be purchased at the studio for $12 or rented for $1. Pre-registration for class is recommended to ensure a spot, but walk-ins are welcome.
